Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor

SALA BAI
Sala Baï is a Hotel and Restaurant School created by the French NGO “Agir Pour Le Cambodge” in October 2002. Each year, the school trains about 100 young disadvantaged Cambodians for careers in the growing hospitality industry, enabling them to achieve economic independence and improve the living conditions of their families.
The training is totally free of charge for the students (training and daily expenses like accommodation, food, etc).The training lasts 11 months, each candidate choose one of the 4 offered disciplines: Restaurant Service, Cooking, Front Office and Housekeeping. The program includes theory classes and practical experience at our training facilities and during internships at our partner hotels.
The training Hotel and Restaurant – run by the students – are places of essential learning activity and work experience. They are open to the public and allow us to self-fund approximately 16% of the program annual budget.
