ChildSafe Alliance
The objective of the ChildSafe Alliance is to include businesses, NGOs and government bodies to help strengthen our network by supporting our campaigns and volunteering to help build ChildSafe Network businesses. For example, volunteers could provide training on financial responsibility to our tuktuk members. Typically, members of the alliance do not have direct links to children, but have an influential impact on the community where children reside.
Being a ChildSafe Alliance member is a way of reaching out to the community through a trusted channel. In return, CA members help promote ChildSafe campaigns. ChildSafe Alliance members will receive basic training on ChildSafe philosophy and work towards a partnership agreement that promotes ChildSafe campaigns to their range of clients and agree on tailor-made campaigns suiting for their business. Several international businesses have already become ChildSafe Alliance members to promote the ChildSafe message to travelers and to the local community. If your company or organization is interested in becoming a partner of the ChildSafe Alliance and would like to explore possibilities of a partnership, please don’t hesitate to contact us at: childsafe@friends-international.org
ANZ Royal Bank is committed to enhancing the well-being and prosperity of the communities where their people live and work, and where their business operates. The bank has supported Mith Samlanh during the last years. ANZ Royal Bank is now excited to join the ChildSafe Network as the first financial institution and the first major Alliance Member. ANZ Royal Bank will promote the ChildSafe message to its staff and clients. As part of the agreement, ANZ Royal Bank and Friends-International has established a volunteer program which will see ANZ Royal Bank staff acting as mentors to younger children and also providing financial advice on topics such as saving to ChildSafe network members, including tuk tuk and moto drivers. The ongoing volunteer program is the first of its kind, involving Cambodian volunteers working with young people and providing motivation as business professionals. ANZ Royal Bank also helps Friends-International through the development of the “ChildSafe SpotMap” and regular messages on its Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) which highlights the importance of support to street children organizations.
