When traveling through Cambodia, you are certain to use the services of the motodups (two wheeled taxi) and the tuk-tuks (three wheeled taxi).
Simply
stand by the street, and a motorcycle or a
tuk-tuk will quickly stop and offer his
services.
Except in Siem Reap, few speak English and most do not know how to read a map; you must guide them. So prepare your trip carefully.
Traffic can be a frightening experience especially when using a motodup: be careful, tell your driver to go slowly if required, hold your bag tightly and always wear a helmet.
If the taxi driver offers you various illegal or dangerous services including drugs and prostitution, tell them clearly that you are not interested and stop using their services immediately. Many honest Cambodians will be willing to show you the real treasures of their country.
Support our ChildSafe Partners Below is a list of our ChildSafe motodups and tuk-tuks in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanouk Ville who have received and passed our ChildSafe trainings and received the 2007 ChildSafe certification.
You can recognize them by the logo on their shirts, caps, helmets and stickers.
Thank you for using their services and help them to do good business!!
